Today Want
& Need
have become confused. Our desires transform what is wanted into something
essential. Our consumption can no longer be taken for granted. What
I want is ...what I need....
London was the fourth location canvassed with the Want & Need system
as part of the C6 show SOLD
OUT on the 25th of October in Cremer St, Shoreditch. Various media
invited sms interaction with the gallery. Want & Need providing
digital backdrop in a space that hosted diverse events and audiences.
A straw poll of Norway's Wants & Needs were exhibited at the Kunstnernes
Hus, Oslo from February the 4th till march 13th 2005, as part of the
touring Detox
exhibition. Later that spring C6 installed Want & Need in
Manefisken nitespot and
again in Stavanger for the
Numusic festival later that august.
