hack-DAT: series of ‘social hacking’ for Plymouth, a collaborative project between Kurator.org and i-DAT
The project is a proposed new series of artist residencies and commissions on the theme of ‘social hacking’ as part of an ongoing program by kurator.org and i-DAT. The first four iterations in the series of ‘social hacking’ for Plymouth, is planned for Spring 2006-2007 and presents four high profile international artists’ collectives.

Want & Need surveys the attending festival public. Holland was the fourth european country to participate in this ongoing work, situated by the bar and very popular, Want & Need canvassed a third of all festival goers. The exhibit was sadly censored on the sunday, apparently the wants and needs of the public were not fit for themselves. After much C6 battling the work was re-instigated.

C6 return to London bringing with them Want & Need, currently touring Europe, their latest software release Echo, as well as the launch of the “DiY Survival” Handbook. A program of daily events sees collaborations, exhibits and shows by friends C6 have made upon their travels.

Norwegian west coast festival of numusic

A series of exhibits and installations in and around Tou Scene the venue for this years festival. Want & need, archive footage, the human ascii printer as well as the c6 disaster Unit providing visuals for Electrophant, Carl craig and others during this five day festival of headline names from the world of numusic.

Using a wide range of street interventions C6 invite collaborative interaction with their gallery exhibit 'Want & Need'. Various media invite the public to sms their needs and desires to the gallery where digital representations are created with the submitted text.

C6 were invited to take part in the Eurographics Art Show, works submitted were on the topic of ‘art and science’, the selection was from 50 works submitted from 11 countries. C6 presented N.E.S.T

Dorkbot city camp- Århus, Denmark

The city camp was an informal gathering of people interested in software and art, city campers were free to do some low-key research, develop code and ideas, talk to interesting people and enjoy dorkbot-style presentations. C6 presented N.E.S.T.

Using Google's image search engine, Toogle returns those searches in ascii. This ascii image is constructed out of the word that you entered to search. In its first eight months toogle has had over 3.616 million individual searches.

C6's first software release, Nest examines the serendipity in data transfer. Charting the corruption and those connected with several visualisations, statistics and user findings.
