The first four iterations in the series of ‘social hacking’ for Plymouth, is planned for Spring 2006-2007 and presents four high profile international artists’ collectives.

Want & Need surveys the attending festival public. Holland was the fourth european country to participate in this ongoing work, situated by the bar and very popular, Want & Need canvassed a third of all festival goers. The exhibit was sadly censored on the sunday, apparently the wants and needs of the public were not fit for themselves. After much C6 battling the work was re-instigated.

Aug 7th-10th 651 - Visual score between London and Berlin
 
To coincide with the year’s Chaos Communication Camp, MediumArt and C6 produced a new work based on their experiences traveling the 651 miles from London to Berlin. Once in Berlin the footage was prepared for a VJ set performed as part of the AVIT conference running in conjunction with the Chaos Communication Camp. The performance was streamed live on the net. The return leg on the journey was documented resulting in the production of an interactive CD-Rom/DVD.

C6 curated a collaborative show-reel, projected onto the windows of the Lux. Three tapes that were individually made so each projection window had a relationship to the other windows. Artists involved included core members of C6, Igloo, Gini Simpson, Lewis Smith and H.C Gilje

C6 involvement in a week’s performances and actions that saw two performances one in Toronto, Canada and one in Moss, Norway, linked in a collaborative performance via the web. The week also featured the fabrication of a Trebant popcorn machine and a performance by the Eel King.

C6 involvement in a collective performance / workshop in Bergen Norway. Keystoke was Beta tested this software, allow artists to collaborate remotely via the web. Utilising a variety of skills and mediums to produce a unique live net performance on the 15th &16th of January. These performances mixed interactive digital mediums with dance fencing and microwaves, broadcast using real audio.

A series of exhibits from an international group put together by C6.Exhibitors from Europe and Japan got together to create an unusual art playground. Many of the pieces were interactive as well as a 14-day performance of starvation 'Famine relief'. Where a member of C6 underwent a 16 day fast. Taking a full body cast at the beginning and end of his trial and recorded changes in-between with photography.

A Monthly free C6 Nightclub that incorporated performance, Art, Sideshows and Music, In an unpredictable event that saw Christian Vogel playing while artist ‘Supa Dave’ swallowed swords and the public got their hair cut. The club ran till January 1999 and regularly pulled a capacity crowd.

April 11th Easter Hanging - Old School Studios, Gloucester terrace, Brighton, East Sussex.
 
A web broadcast of a ritualized Hanging. Artist Xed Le Head hung for an hour while C6 broadcast his performance on the web. The event was attended by a select crowd of approximately 45 people, with several hundred tuning into C6.org to watch the web cam postings.
